About Me

I was introduced to photography by my grandpa at an early age. He was an advertising agency founding partner and pillar in his community (Washington State). Anytime he and grandma traveled, they had their cameras with them. They shot thousands of rolls of film, both prints and slides. Anytime we visited I could be sure that we were in for an evening slideshow of where they had traveled since we last saw them. All over America, Canada, Mexico and even Israel, they documented everything.

On the occasion that they shot negative film, grandpa had a complete darkroom in his basement that he used to develop and print his own black & white images. Following his love for photography I started with a homemade pin-hole camera, then an instamatic (using 110 film cartridges), polariod, then a standard 35mm film, a 4X5 film while at Brooks Institue of Photography and then I finally entered the digital SLR world.

I was raised and educated in Santa Barbara County, attending La Patera Elementary, Goleta Valley Junior High, Dos Pueblos High, Santa Barbara City College & Brooks Institute of Photography, and I still call the central coast my home. Now, I am raising & educating my family in Santa Barbara County and passing on the family love of photography to the next generation.
